The Oath that County Attorney Pertler Ignores
2011 Minnesota Statutes
358.07 FORMS OF OATH IN VARIOUS CASES.
(9) To attorneys:
"You do swear that you will support the Constitution of the United States and that of the state of Minnesota, and will conduct yourself as an attorney and counselor at law in an upright and courteous manner, to the best of your learning and ability, with all good fidelity as well to the court as to the client, and that you will use no falsehood or deceit, nor delay any person's cause for lucre or malice. So help you God."
If trespassing isn't enforced when clearly established, what other crimes are being ignored by the Carlton County Attorney's Office? Are these claims determined on sound reasoning or by affiliation or popularity? Land ownership rights existed well before the establishment of the U.S. Constitution and considered an inalienable right of every person. When this right is unenforced by the law it ceases to have meaning and tyranny arises. Tyranny is now evident and practiced at every level of the court system.
In my own case the Carlton County Attorney's Office failed to conduct any type of investigation for approximately 27 months. After this time, they simply conducted a sham investigation with every intent of dismissing. After 27 months, you would expect they felt there was merit or it would have been initially dismissed. If you're going to conduct the affairs of the county and its taxpayers as a joke, I for one propose we eliminate your office.
In my personal opinion I feel Pertler has been given too many opportunities and has received a large pass from the Pine Journal because of his wife's employment there.
The lack of accountability given our elected officials leads to the corruption and failures we now see. No one wants to write a blank check to a stranger without accountability but that is exactly what we are mandated to do via property taxes. We pay them so employees can come and go as they want, and use property tax paid equipment for personal benefit. All you get for an investigation is a circle of fingerpointing and excuses.
Unfortunately, the corruption and malfeasance of our county officials is so embedded after this much time that it would take a complete housecleaning to correct. A good beginning would be to get ride of Judge Wolf, Judge Macauley, County Attorney Thom Pertler, and County Commissioners Ted Pihlman and Dick Brenner.
